hold R and you can see some of the boxes are different heights. let go of r and quickly fire at the green box, try it until it works

I FIGURED OUT THE WAY TO COMPLETE DEAGLE CHANLENGE!! get d.eagle, go to skill challenge, and hold r down and right before of after you let go fire. it takes awhile but it works. trust me. i will not lie about the hardest chalenge

what's more to this game than the skill challenges? Speed is half player skill, half Luck and accuracy is the easiest one. be sure to learn the trajectory path of the different bullets (handguns for instance have less power than rifles and therefore don't shoot as "far" ). Oh and get the juggler achievement, it allows you to change to a new background (options) called 'midnight... something' where you can see horizontal lines. Those are enormous helpful in the accuracy levels.
If you're still having trouble, try to unlock the benefits that come with the weapon achievements, sometimes it makes all the difference and all you have to do is fire a couple of hundred bullets (do it in the speed challenge, but miss the targets).
As far as the speed challenges for smg/assault rifle/shotgun are concerned:
Fire to the lower targets first, but keep most of your ammo for mid and upper target section, as the bullets that missed are dropping down, destroying targets on their way. Most of my later expert achievements, especially with shotguns are about 95% luck.

As others have asked, how do you do the k98 speed challenge?
it is possible to beat the k98 speed challenge. the clock doesnt start until you break a target. So shoot off about 15 rounds so the bullets are laying just outside the firing range then shoot the ammo laying on the ground. If you're lucky enough it wil propel up and break a couple of targets then you have to hurry to break the remaining ones. Good luck.
